For all of those who have received the calling from God and have the will to respond in the most positive way, obtaining the ministerial license is the most correct avenue to begin this great undertaking of God in that it allows the new minister to begin his quest in accordance with the laws of the land as well as the laws of God The first License to Preach is similar to becoming an apprenticed Minister. It allows the new Minister the opportunity to receive the training to lead worship services, study groups, and utilizes their previous training as Prayer Partners. (1 Timothy 1:6; 1 timothy 4:14; 2 Timothy 3:14) It gives the individual the ability to perform many of the functions of a full Minister without the daily humdrum of running the Church. A Licensed Preacher often fills the gap within a traditional Church by relieving the Minister of trying to be in more than one place at a time.

The Licensed Preacher has the option of passing the problems that they are too inexperienced to handle to the seasoned Minster without unduly upsetting the lay person by giving poor counseling. When in doubt, the Licensed Preacher will often suggest the problem be kicked upstairs to allow themselves time to learn a more correct approach to coping with the lay person's problem.

Many small Independent Churches often use Licensed Preachers to fill in for their Minister while the Minister is away, or ill. Often, they are happy to have the Licensed Preacher study under their Minister while helping in their Church's programs. This gives you, as a Licensed Preacher, a way to gain experience in a real time Church setting prior to establishing his own Ministry.

Among the several things required of the individual to qualify for a Minister’s License, a candidate shall be a member of a local church and recommended by that local church. The applicant must be certain of a definite call to Gospel work and must have completed the prescribed study program. The recommendation must be in writing and signed by the Pastor and Church Elder. The training requirements for the Minister’s License, shall be as specified in the Ministerial Credentials Program of Apostolic Ministries of America, Inc. The candidate must have had the Water Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and have received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. He must, efficiently read and write and possess the required verbal skills; having a total commitment to preach and teach no other gospel than the gospel of Jesus Christ according to the Apostles' Doctrine. There is no age requirements for obtaining a minister's license under the AMA banner, except in those states where a certain age is mandatory to conform to its laws.

This list of questions shall be sent to every church conference, and the Senior Elders shall be requested to ask these questions in an oral interview to every candidate for a Ministerial License. The Conference of Elders, in consultation with the Chief Elder, shall provide a continuing education program for licensed ministers of all Apostolic Ministries of America, Inc. Churches. The Conference of Elders shall also, be responsible for implementation and supervision of the CEU (Continuing Education Units) Program. All Licensed Ministers must participate annually in the AMA continuing education program. (2 Timothy 2:15). For all ministers who desire to elevate their ministry to that of Church Pastor, the Conference of Elders or the Chief Elder (General Overseer) shall have the authority to grant local church minister’s license. The status and duties of a local church minister shall be as follows:

Those with a local church minister’s license are amenable to the local church where they hold their membership and shall have the responsibility of collecting tithes and offerings from each member for local church use and needs. The local Church Minister shall pay his tithes to Apostolic Ministries of America, Inc. They shall report to AMA monthly; and shall state the condition of the church and membership in their report.

For those with a ministry focus of Church Education (Church Education, Youth, Children, Singles, Senior Adults, etc.) the Minister of Bible Education License is the credential that recognize their ministry specialty.

To qualify for the Minister of Bible Education License, a candidate shall be a member of a local church and recommended by that local church. The recommendation must be in writing and signed by the Pastor and the Senior Church Elder. The applicant desiring the Minister of Bible Education License must be certain of a definite call to Gospel work and must have completed the prescribed study program. The Candidate must be capable of teaching the KJV Bible in a class room environment, using appropriate bible aids and references to adequately present the study subjects in a concise and understanding authority to the saints. (2 Timothy 2:2) The candidate must be apt to preach and capable of assisting the Church Pastor or performing on his own the sacerdotal duties required of the church minister. The training and qualifying requirements for the Minister of Bible Education License, shall be as specified in the AMA Ministerial Credentials Program with all applicants being subject to its provisions.

At Apostolic Ministries of America, Inc. careful consideration is given as to how the Ministerial Credentials Program is established. It is our intent to make sure that all things are accomplished in the AMA Program according to the scriptures. It is not our goal to establish new trends in credentials programs in the church of God; instead, our aim is to put in place those things that are lacking by a close examination of God's Word; thereby making manifest the total array of ministerial gifts. (1Cr 12:28 "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues".) All of the functions given here (1 Cor. 12:28) are necessary for the perfecting of the saints of God. It is evidence that all of the individuals working under the Chief Apostles and traveling with them were not all preachers; but all were considered to have a ministry. (Romans 16th Ch) We have added Minister of Staff to the AMA Ministerial Credentials Program to properly certify those whose calling is to help and administer. For we are told that the least of those working in the vineyard is just as important as all the others who have desired the grater gifts.

He must, efficiently read and write and possess the required communication skills; having a total commitment to Administer no other gospel than the gospel of Jesus Christ according to the Apostles' Doctrine. There are no age requirements for obtaining a Minister of Staff license under the AMA banner, except in those states where a certain age is mandatory to conform to its laws.

Ministers holding the Minister of Staff License are assigned to the Apostle/Chief Elder and Senior Elders of AMA, to assist and support them in the furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In support of the Senior Church Ministers they shall be responsible for all helps and administrative tasks, which are necessary; and shall include planning, coordinating, scheduling, programs, logistics, security, and transportation and other helps which may be necessary in the AMA Ministries. Those desiring to become Ministers of Staff must be willing to travel with the Chief and Senior Elders without undue hardship on the church or their families.

The Conference of Elders shall also, be responsible for implementation and supervision of the CEU (Continuing Education Units) Program. All candidates for ordination shall have been licensed for at least two years. The Conference of Elders Board may waive this regulation in exceptional circumstances with the approval of the Chief Elder In order for a minister to qualify for a Certificate of Ordination, a candidate shall be a member of a local church and recommended by that local church. This recommendation must be in writing and signed by the Local Church Pastor and the Senior Elder.

The Ordained Elder shall be responsible for conducting all church ceremonies and all other sacerdotal duties as may be required to maintain the congregation. The Ordained Elder, whenever present, shall be the Lead Minister for prayer bands and all other grouping and committees of that Local Church. Ordained Ministers shall be eligible to participate in all AMA benefits established for the ministerial members of the organization.

The Chief Elder's Office shall provide a standard list of questions, and the Senior Elders shall be requested to ask these questions in an oral interview to every candidate for a Certificate of Ordination. Each question must be answered to the satisfaction and approval of the Conference of Elders and the Chief Elder. The Chief Elder's Ministerial Staff, or his appointee, in cooperation with the Conference of Elders, shall arrange and conduct an appropriate ordination service in connection with the session of the conference/district/state whenever a minister has been approved for ordination.
