The Wedding Ring; Yes or No?

God bless the saints of the Most High God, our eternal Father and Lord Jesus Christ and to all those who have a desire to expand their scriptural knowledge and receive revelation according to the righteousness found in the true word of God. Many Ministers and believers have written to me concerning this subject; The Wedding Ring and have demonstrated many different opinions, regarding; if it is a sin to wear a wedding band. And when I say that there is no sin generated by wearing the plain simple wedding band they question my committment to the Great Commission which the Lord Jesus have placed upon me and the AMM Ministries. Therefore this epistle is written to state my position on the wedding ring according to what the Lord Jesus has given me, subject to what is written and what is not written in the Holy Scriptures of God.

Now, let us go to the scriptures (KJV) and see why Elder Walker does not condemn the Finger Ring. In this case the 'Wedding Band': only one band (ring) not two or more as I do condemn multiple finger rings including the engagement ring and all other rings except the single simple 'wedding band'.

First let us examine the finger ring and see what it is and what it is used for according to the scriptures and afterwards the choice is yours to accept or to reject the facts of the matter. Elder Walker and all the AMA Ministers will not debate any issue with the readers or with anyone as the true gospel of God is without controversy and all of God's Ministering Spirits will agree in unanimity regardless of the subject.

First and foremost there are no scripture in the Holy (KJV) Bible that condemns the Finger Ring (Wedding Band). No! Not a single scripture in the Old or New Testaments That says anything to conclude that the wearing of a Wedding band is against the Laws of God Almighty. All other types of Rings are condemned; including the Ear Ring, the Toe Ring and the Nose Ring and for good reason as they are contrary to the commandments of the Lord God, Jesus Christ.

Therefore in the absence of any law forbidding any given action, there can be no transgression by those who believe upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then; how does this work in the absence of law? First, read Romans 4:15; Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, [there is] no transgression Now where there is no law and in the absence of any given commandment; we the saints of the most High God have learned to "walk by faith and not by sight" because in our dispensation; [it is] of faith, that [it might be] by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all those who believe upon His Holy Name of Jesus.

Now, we learn in Hab. 2:4; Behold, his soul [which] is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. This being the case for all true born again believers and where the application of God's Law is not written in the holy scriptures but only revealed to us by a preponderance of evidence in the laws of nature it is how we believe according to our own individual faith. And for this cause: If I choose to teach that it is OK for a person to wear a simple plain wedding band, You have no scripture to condemn me in that I have not broken any published law in the Old or New Testament. And if you because ye walk by faith, choose not to wear a plain simple wedding band, I cannot scripturally condemn you for not doing so. Therefore where there is no condemnation there is no sin and in the absence of sin there can be no transgression. Thank God for FAITH for without it; it would be impossible to please God; in that we could never receive forgiveness for those things that we could never learn of, except through the eyes of 'nature's laws'. As it is written: "For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness." And as it is again written: "Blessed [is] the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin." Now, in any given situation where the Lord will not impute sin; I ask you this question; How can you or I????

Now to your question. You asked: (Where in the Holy Scriptures do you get support for the wearing of a wedding band?) And I tell you this: If I did not have scriptures to support the finger ring I would never say that it is OK to wear one. I would just say that it cannot be determined. But that is not the case; in as much as there is scripture to support the wearing of a finger ring and we will look at one or two of them and that is all that it takes for every word to be established. Let us look at the 'finger ring' and see what it really is and what does it mean and what does it accomplish when worn by a male or by a female.

Be it known to you that the finger ring as used in the scriptures by those who believed in the True God was used as an item to establish authority and as evidence of a covenant agreement between two people or between two people and God. Thus making the finger ring; not an item of mundane jewelry nor a graven image. But instead making it and item to establish authority and using it as a seal to confirm the authority by those who were the rulers of nations and kingdoms. And it is made the item of confirmation for a covenant between man and God and between man, woman and God. The ring itself is a symbol of eternal existence; a symbol of a decree that should stand for all generations. The Wedding Ring has no beginning and it has no ending and shows perfect unity and a completeness within itself with no need for interface with anything or anyone to exist. But does exist without evidence of a beginning and will forever exist because it has no ending but emblematizing power and authority from within itself; enclosed within that perfect eternal circle; so much an almost tiny resemblance of the awesome and perfect spirit of Almighty God, Jesus Christ.

Now let us look at scripture to establish these two factors and to give support to my proclamation that it is not a sin for a woman or man to wear a wedding band provide that they have a living and lawful husband or wife. I personally do not wear anything attached to my body or to my clothes; no jewelry, no watch, no ring; nothing except very decent and clean dress apparel to hide my nakedness and to show myself as a real man of God. However, if you desire to wear a simple watch and a plain wedding band you are not in scriptural condemnation. Again, where there is no law there is no transgression.

Let's look at the evidence of authority statement given by Elder Walker in this epistle: Read; Ester 8:1-2; On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews' enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he [was] unto her. And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

And Read; Ester 8:8; Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king's name, and seal [it] with the king's ring: for the writing which is written in the king's name, and sealed with the king's ring, may no man reverse.

When Queen Ester caused the placing of Haman's ring on the hand of Mordecai it established his irreversable authority over all the Jews and was evidence of the covenant between the two according to the will and purposse of God. Now if the finger ring taken from Haman were a graven image or a thing of sin; then the Holy Ghost would not have let a leader of God's people put it on. For the Power of God that had been extended to Mordecai was made manifest in the ring on his hand.

Just as Pharaoh who took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and made him ruler over all the land of Egypt; having total authority to do what the Lord, his God had ordained to prepare for that which was to come upon all the world and upon His people Israel; with their preservation as a nation of God being guaranteed in the Ring that was on Joseph's Hand. The yielding of the ring from the hand of Pharaoh was because the power and authority that would be made manifest in the ring would be greater than the power of man; it would be the power and authority of the Almighty God, The God of Joseph. This is why Pharaoh had to give his ring up because no man was found worthily to execute power and preservation of God's people Israel except those whom He has chosen to to so. Not the King of all Egypt but the King over all the Earth and King over all Israel. Again if the finger ring was a graven image then the Lord God would not established His Power and authority in it; nor would He have allowed it to be placed on the hand of His servant Joseph, whom He had placed in the land of Egypt to do all His works.

Now let us look at the covenant between man and God symbolized by the finger ring: Read; Luke 15:22; But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put [it] on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on [his] feet: Now this passage is why no individual in all the bible condemned the finger ring; not the prophets and certainly not the apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ. No Sir! not a single one of them ever mentioned the finger ring.

Here we see in this parable spoken by Jesus Himself; a man who has return to God and has renewed his Covenant with God that he will no longer be prodical in nature anymore but will embrace the commamdments of the Father through faith to the reclaiming and saving of his soul from hell. The evidence of the ratification of this re-established covenant between this man and his Father was the placing of the ring upon his hand. Jesus Christ Himself proclaimed this placing of the ring on his hand, in His own words and this it why none of the Prophets before him nor any of the Apostles after Him ever condemned the finger ring. (ring not rings). Check it out for yourself you can read the scriptures for yourself and see that this is a fact. No man can ever go against the spoken words of Jesus Christ; for in him is all power and authority given.

Now this covenant which was established from the beginning; given to man in Genesis and confirmed by Jesus Christ in Matthew; the covenant that establishes marriage between a man and a woman and God Almighty is such a covenant agreement that can be confirmed by the placing of a ring upon the hands of those who have entered into this binding and lasting agreement until the death of one of the individuals. The wedding band in its oneness of being is the perfect symbol for the coming together of the flesh to its oneness having been put together by the Oneness of God Almighty. It futher illustrates the alignment of Authority which is upon the marriage; Symbolizing for the woman the authority of the man which she has accepted in all things being subject to him. And for the man symbolizing that he is the head of the union of marriage eventhough they be one flesh. For the woman it says to the whole world that she has accepted the name of the man whose authority over her is depicted in the ring on her finger and that she is no longer subject to another as long as her husband liveth and that her obedience is to that one man whose name and authority is depicted in the ring on her hand. And for the man it symbolizes that he has given his name and that his authority has been established in the person depicted in the ring upon his hand. That his authority is totally and completely extended to the woman he has given his name to; therefore having no remaining power nor authority to engage in any conduct contrary to the Holy Covenant which made the two one flesh and that he shall be subject to the 'law of the husband' as long as he lives. If either, the man or the woman, have broken this covenant by reason of unfaithfulness, they are unworthy to continue wearing the wedding band until he or she has been restored and forgiven by God. The wedding band is a serious item and should always be regarded and respected as such; and the failure to do so will cause many souls to be lost due to their outright disrespect for the meaning given to this particular finger ring.

Just as no man in all of Egypt could stand between Joseph and the Ring on his hand; likewise can no man stand between the man or the woman and the wedding ring on their hand in that it states that these two became one by the authority of God Almighty and no man can put asunder what God have joined together. The ring is evidence of a covenant which has no ending except by death. It symbolizes the female Adam being taken from and made from the male Adam, thus making them one flesh as given: "I will make him an help meet for him".

May the Lord Jesus give you understanding regarding this subject and that your life will forever be blessed according to the purpose of God. To all the saint of God, call me sometimes at 1-800-414-0441 and we will talk some more on this subject if there is a need to do so.

God bless,
