Sirs, What Must I Do To Be Saved?

This question was asked by the Philippian Jailer. There is no doubt, that this man was religious and professed to have known God. And when he faced the Apostles who had the only gospel of salvation, he not only found himself unsaved , but without the necessary knowledge to do anything about it. Likewise, are many today, when their religious experiences are brought up against the standard of the word of God, they find themselves unsaved.

Through out the world there are many people today who have been affiliated with churches for many years; and have no doubt been great church workers. They may even be preachers, deacons, trustees and missionaries; but when brought up against the standard of the true word of God are finding unrest and dissatisfaction until the extent that they are asking themselves the question, "am I really saved? And what proof have I, that I have heard and understood the truth. Do I have a Bible Salvation? And if Jesus Christ should come, as He surely will, would I be ready to meet Him or am I deceived?

Dear reader, let me tell you, the only way that you and I can know that we are saved is to know according to the True and Eternal Word of God.

Everyday you hear of ministers converting people and saying they are saved without any Bible proof. They tell people to bow their heads and raise their hands, and accept Jesus Christ right where they are. Then they run to their microphone to tell the world that so many people were saved through their ministry

This day I am saying unto you in the name of Jesus Christ, and according to God's True and Eternal Word that such claims are as far from the truth and from being saved as the east is from the west. These ministers always fail to mention repentance or water Baptism to the poor souls. They never mention "And you shall receive the Holy Ghost, and yet they say that these people are saved. My friend, let us go to the word of God and see what the Word of God has to say about this matter. Remember Romans 3:4 says: "Let God be true and every man a liar." Now let me outline this one and only plan of salvation according to the word of God.

John said: "I indeed baptized with water unto repentance but Jesus Christ would baptize with the Holy Ghost and with fire." John did not tell them to raise their hands right where they were and accept salvation. Jesus Christ, who is our example came to John and was baptized, and He received the Holy Ghost (Matt. 3:16).

Jesus Christ said to Nicodemus, except a man be born again of water and spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God (John 3:5). Notice, in Mark 16:16 Jesus Christ said, he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, and these signs shall follow them that believe...In my name shall they cast out devils: they shall speak with new tongues. Many ministers have made the awful statement that there is no such thing in the bible as speaking in tongues. Isaiah prophesied seven hundred twelve years before Jesus Christ came: "For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to his people" (Isaiah 28:11). Jesus spoke in tongues, when He raised Jairus' daughter. He took the damsel by the hand and said unto her "Talitha cumi." (Mark 5:41)

When the day of Pentecost had come and the foundation of the church was laid with and by them that walked and talked with Jesus, and watched him go up into the heavens, they also spoke in tongues as the spirit gave them utterance. (See Acts 2:1-13)

When the multitude heard the gospel preached by Peter on the day of Pentecost, they became pricked in their hearts. They said unto Peter and the rest of the Apostles,"What shell we do?" Peter didn't say to them raise your hands and accept Christ as your personal Saviour, as it is told to people today. Neither did he say join the church, but he said unto them, "Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Read acts 2:38) And three thousand obeyed (Acts 2:41).
You can read the the Book of Acts, 8:5-22, and see that when Phillip preached to the city of Samaria, he did not say to the people sit right where you are, and there is no need to be emotional. We find that when the people believed the preaching of Phillip, they were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the Holy Ghost.
When Peter preached the same gospel to the Gentiles in Caesarea that he preached to the Jews and the other nations at Jerusalem, on the day ofPentecostt, they received the Holy Ghost; spake with other tongues; and were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. (Read Acts 10:44-48).
Now, let us again, turn to the word of God, and we shall see, when The Apostle Paul met John's Disciples who had not received salvation under this dispensation, and said unto them, "Have you received the Holy Ghost since you Believed?" (Acts 19:5). You see, dear reader, there are millions of people who have some kind of belief, but except they believe as the Scriptures have said their belief is in vain, (St. John 7:38). They (John's Disciples) said unto Paul, We have not so much heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
Paul said unto them, "unto what then were you baptized?" Paul went on to explain the truth unto them, just like I am trying to explain it unto you, my friend. They obeyed and were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in other tongues, (Acts 19:1-6).
Now, dear reader if you will just accept and believe the word of God, you will see plainly that the Apostles did not use any of the methods men are using today, to get people saved. Nowhere in all of the Bible can it be found where God's Ministers told the people bow their heads and raise their hands and receive Jesus right where they are, without mentioning repentance, baptism or receiving the Holy Ghost.
The Apostle Paul said: "If an angel from heaven preached any other gospel except that which they have preached, let him be accursed." (Read Galatians 1:8-9).
In my conclusion, I am saying unto you, nobody is saved regardless who he or she may be without having the water, spirit and the blood. These three agree in one (I John 5:8). If you have the spirit and refuse the water you are not yet saved. And you cant have the Blood and refuse water and the spirit. The bible makes it plain, there is one Lord, one Faith and one Baptism (Ephesians 4:5).
Dear reader, if you don't have it like it is outlined with scripture here, then, you to need to cry out in the language of the Jailer; "Sirs what must I do to be saved?" May God open your understanding that you might understand the scriptures, is my prayer.
